My name is Sky and I am based in Perth, Western Australia. So how did I get into wedding cinematography you might ask? Well it's a long and odd story that all started with me dressing up as Kylie in a few different costumes and miming with an old broken camera - and cutting it into a music video.. and being quite pleased with myself! Somehow that night spent with my old computer and the broken hi8 camera I found in the closet.... turned into some hi tech filming of weddings with Canon 5dmk2 and Sony HDR combinations! I was always looking for a creative outlet.. and believe it or not although I so desperatley wanted to do photography in highschool.. it was a small $20 dearer than other topics which put it out of my mums budget! So many years of working hard, saving up, and teaching myself finally found me able to get some good gear and turn it into a career and profession... I am very blessed to be able to do what I love for a living... I love sharing your day and your journey leading up to it with you!
I am highly creative and designed and edited this entire website myself. I have studied Fashion Design, Interior Design, Sketching, Oil Painting and basics of computer programming and I enjoy scrapbooking. Since I was 10 I spent most of my spare time taking photos so after starting up Sky Scott Videography, I then started my own wedding photography business titled Duran Photography www.duranphotography.com.au
I am 100% self taught, from videography, to photography, and I even taught myself css and html to create this site myself as well.
From 2006 until 2009 I was a member of the Riverview Church Television Crew (RVTV) and have 3 years film experience and 7 years editing experience.
I started Sky Videography / Duran Bridal Films in December 2007 before leaving my day job in 2008 to shoot weddings full time, and I started Duran Photography mid 2009.

My work has a strong emphasis on moving shots and unique action sequencing and each shot composition is unique. At Sky Scott Videography the focus is on 'moving pictures.' What your eye sees is what the camera captures. The human eye never sees movement as stationary. I am pleased to let my work speak for itself. I use a condensor lapel microphone to ensure optimum audio for vows and speeches. Other services available include pre wedding video and pre wedding photography. I am also available mid week to film funeral services.

I feel that videography is of the uttmost importance, and just as a photographer has a wide variety of shots that you can choose from, so does cinematography. I always welcome my brides to pick and choose the shots they would like during the photoshoot, and despite setting up shots, my brides always tell me that they didn't notice me their on the day. My work can speak for itself, alongside my 'What Brides Say..' page.
I am keen and calm yet enthusiastic, and I always aim to make sure my brides have the most laid back wedding day possible.
